Fleurieu Gyroplanes Flying School opened in 2012 and its chief flying instructor, David Owen, has been flying since 1977, He has a wide range of experience of flying many different types of aircraft from hang-gliders, microlights, paragliders, sailplanes, fixed wing LSA, helicopters through to gyroplanes. Since settling into gyroplanes in 1998, he now has over 20 years experience of flying these wonderful aircraft.
Fleurieu Gyroplanes specialises in gyroplane student flight training and air experience/trial flights for visiting members of the public and operates from Goolwa Airport, on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, just 5km from Goolwa and 25km south of Strathalbyn. Even with no previous flying experience, guests get the opportunity to take control of the Gyroplane during the flight.
